China pays Trump’s son-in-law’s company millions ahead of meeting between Trump and Chinese president
Open corruption: Donald Trump and his family continue to use the office of the presidency to enrich themselves.

Donald Trump plans to host Chinese President Xi Jinping for a summit next month in the United States. In advance of the meeting, a large Chinese holding company has announced a deal involving the multi-billion dollar real estate development company owned by the family of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and for which Kushner previously served as Chief Executive Officer.
The Chinese company involved, Anbang Insurance Company, has previously been described as “one of China’s most politically connected companies.” ...

As a Senior Advisor to Trump, Kushner has acted as a foreign policy advisor to his father-in-law the president. On February 28th, Kushner attended a meeting with the top Chinese diplomat to the United States, State Councilor Yang Jiechi, along with Trump and Steve Bannon. Unusually, there were no representatives from the State Department present during that meeting.
As Shareblue has previously covered, top Democratic leaders have called for investigations into Trump’s conflicts of interest and possible corruption with regard to China. China recently approved numerous Trump trademark requests, for products as diverse as construction and building supplies to massage and escort services.

http://shareblue.com/china-pays-trumps-s...nese-president/

Die Trump Familie benutzt das Praesidentenamt for family enirchment, waehrend Bannon seinen Job zur Demontage des Staates benutzt. Das Amerikanische Volk wird das hoffendlich zu schaetzen wissen. Irgendwann einmal.

Commentary: Trump wants to gut the State Department. Not everyone thinks that’s a bad idea.
...While we can’t see into Trump’s mind, we may be able to gauge his intentions. Things do not look good at State. The department didn’t hold a regular press briefing in January or February, nor has Secretary of State Rex Tillerson answered questions in public. There may be little to talk about – a bad sign in these first 100 days. The briefings are also a tool to get America's broader foreign policy message out to the globe, and for now that message is that no one is home at State....

Tillerson wasn't present, as is typical, at several White House meetings with foreign leaders, and has taken only two short trips abroad. (By March 6 of her term, Hillary Clinton had already visited nine countries, John Kerry, 10.) Of the 17 sets of official remarks Tillerson delivered, 12 were substance-free messages to countries on their national days.
Sources inside State say he is nowhere to be seen around the building, either in person or virtually via demands for information. State’s long hallways, which should be abuzz as new faces arrive with policy initiatives, and career staff work to bring them up to date on existing issues, are instead pretty quiet places...

Trump Aims to Deconstruct America
Shadow President Steve Bannon has said that one of the main goals of the Trump presidency will be to deconstruct the regulatory systems of the U.S. government. Basically, he is saying that the current administration has plans to render ineffectual or remove as many Executive branch agencies as possible. The main goal is to create a national environment that favors profit over conserving the environment or protecting the lives and livelihoods of U.S. citizens.

"...is within reach..." :-)))

Boteach is known for his flamboyance and self-promotion. In a comment he later described as only having been sarcastic, he was reported as saying "God gave 10 commandments at Sinai, and the 11th commandment, which they expunged but which has come down orally, is 'Thou shalt do anything for publicity and recognition.'"....

Boteach is supportive of Israel, and critical of American policy towards the country. Boteach has argued that the Obama administration is "bullying" Israel, arguing that U.S. Middle Eastern policy is "scandalous" and "disgusting". He is also supportive of Israeli settlements, including the Hebron settlement, the residents of which he characterizes as marked by a particular "warmth, friendliness and hospitality" and views as being "liberated from hatred."

Boteach was criticized by a variety of Jewish organizations for an ad placed in the New York Times which read "Susan Rice has a blind spot: Genocide", and that her action has "injected a degree of partisanship" that is "destructive of the fabric of the relationship" between the US and Israel. Rice had criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for agreeing to speak to Congress about Iran's nuclear program without coordinating with the Obama administration ....

The Memo: European visitors could spell trouble for President Trump
Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny will be at the White House on Thursday for the traditional St. Patrick’s Day celebration. German Chancellor Angela Merkel will visit with Trump on Friday, a meeting postponed from Tuesday because of winter weather.

There are complications to each occasion.
Kenny has faced calls at home to boycott the St. Patrick’s Day festivities in protest at Trump’s policies in general, and those on immigration and refugees in particular. An Irish senator is among those promoting an event in New York on Friday to marshal anti-Trump forces.
Merkel and Trump, meanwhile, have often been at odds. He criticized her willingness to allow large numbers of refugees into Germany as “insane.” His views on NATO and trade have also ruffled German feathers.
More broadly, both Kenny and Merkel are firm believers in the European Union. Trump is not. He is close to British politician Nigel Farage — who championed the British exit from the European Union — and often draws parallels between his own campaign for the presidency and anti-EU sentiment in Britain.
Both Kenny and Merkel will be under domestic pressure to show they can keep their distance from Trump.

An opinion poll last year from the Pew Research Center found a mere 9 percent of Europeans expressed confidence that Trump would “do the right thing” regarding world affairs if elected.
At the time, 59 percent had confidence in Trump’s general election opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton. President Obama enjoyed the confidence of significantly more Europeans — 77 percent — than either of his would-be successors. ...

The traditional St. Patrick’s Day ceremony, at which the U.S. president is typically presented with a bowl of shamrock by a visiting Irish prime minister, or taoiseach, is normally a controversy-free affair.
Not so this year. The Irish Labor Party leader, Brendan Howlin, is among those who called for Kenny not to make the annual trip.
Describing Trump as “openly hostile” to Irish values, Howlin said in a statement that “the only thing a visit by the Taoiseach to the White House could achieve would be to present Ireland as a supine supporter of Trumpism.”

Grassley Refuses To Confirm DOJ Nom Until He Gets Full Briefing On Russia
en. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is openly frustrated with the Trump administration dragging its feet on fully briefing Congress on its various Russia investigations.
This week, he put his foot down, refusing to move forward on the backlog of confirmation votes before his committee until FBI Director James Comey tells the committee what is going on.

"Wielding accusations of fascism as an insult doesn't help to get your audience on side - instead, you raise the stakes of the debate, forcing a polarisation between 'good' and 'evil' into a discussion that may have reasonable positions on both sides," says Amanda Moorghen, the group's senior research and resources officer.

"Most of the time, people call others 'Nazis' because they think it will grab the attention of the audience.

"This is a big mistake, because any attention they do get will be drawn to the use of that word, rather than to the nitty gritty of the topic at hand."

Quatsch. Denn waere es so, wuerde niemand es verwenden. Und unterschiedliche Leute verwenden es zu unterschiedlichen Zwecken. And not everybody does -as the article falsely proclaims.
